Engelmannia has a reputation of being difficult to raise from seed.   One time I gave up the idea but on seeing it again in California I came home and renewed my efforts with success.   However at present I do not have the plant.

It is a small American plant with fine foliage and lavender flowers.   Texana is quite similar and I sometimes have that these days instead.
