When I first had roemeriana there were two similar plants offered, henryii and summa. Roemeriana was the lasting one. It is a nice small plant, 25cm, from Texas with solid red flowers. Originally I had it on a slope and it flowered and seeded a little. It probably prefers fresh seed. Since then I have never had it in abundance though I usually have some for sale. It doesn’t grow real strongly in pots and I am often reluctant to send them through the mail.
It grows better through winter, forming a compact base, in summer it tends to go straight into a lanky plant and flower.
Roemeriana is cold and drought tolerant.
